 At Grothman & Associates we are thoroughly grounded in the traditions of our professions. Many of our surveyors and engineers have achieved licensure and certifications in their respective disciplines; some of them in multiple jurisdictions and territories. For Surveyors and Engineers, the road to licensure requires intensive studies and subsequent college degree, several years of field experience, and passing a rigorous examinations administered by each jurisdiction. Our Professional Land Surveyors know far more than the mechanics of surveying. They understand and have mastered the complexities of boundary work and are qualified to handle the most challenging projects. Similarly, our Professional Engineers apply their highly technical training to conceive, design, supervise, operate, construct and maintain infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector. 

While carefully preserved traditions guide practice, modern technology has improved the accuracy and efficiency of our services. Computer Aided Drafting and other computerized design systems now are the norm in the engineering industry. Similarly in Surveying, the introduction of global positioning satellite technology, GPS, enables surveyors to establish a higher standard of accuracy than ever before. In addition, modern innovations such as robotics simplify complex projects and save time.

We were one of the first in the area to adapt modern surveying technology including GPS and robotics and we will continue adopting new technologies to improve our accuracy, efficiency and quality.
